As a St. Louis Family Photographer, my biggest hurdle is always the weather. It’s something I simply can’t control in the least. And when I have a session that is time-sensitive, it always takes the stress level up a notch. But I had faith that this family fall session would take place and the weather would hold off just enough for us. Magda’s father was in visiting and she wanted to capture special moments between him and her children (as well as herself, of course). However, we were on a timeline for that to take place. Her father would need to go back home just two days after our scheduled session so the timing was everything.
For the majority of the session, the weather was perfect. The sky was absolutely gorgeous, the backdrop of the field was perfect. We got all the shots we wanted but there was one last backdrop we wanted to capture – the greenhouse. We made our way over to the greenhouse, began to pose, and then I hear something to my right. My heart sank, I knew that sound. So we tried to quickly get the kids in place but it was to no avail. It was like a bucket of water had been dumped on us. I covered my camera and we all made a dash for our vehicles. We managed to get soaked no matter how fast we ran.
Their session turned out beautiful nonetheless. I absolutely love Queeny Park, especially in the Fall. The colors are so beautiful this time of year. And this family fall session simply hit the mark on beautiful! Check out some of the images from their gallery! Are you ready to schedule a session with me? Let’s chat!
